Sonic The Hedgehog
Starting in 1997 shortly after getting the internet and hosted on a variety of different free webhosts (Geocities, Fortunecity, Xoom, Tripod and then Hypermart) before migrating to p-a-u-l.com these websites were my first real success in web development and computing.Originally only getting a few hits I managed to increase my hit rate to an average of 75,000 per year by creating and providing promotional services, Top 10 Sonic The Hedgehog Websites and Sonic Exchange - Website Banner Exchange for other similar sites. My website would not have been so popular without these services as they all drove traffic straight back to my domain.
These websites ran from 1997 to 2001 when I closed them down due to school, college and financial constraints.
The remnants of the promotional services are still dotted around the internet. Google "Sonic Exchange - Sonic The Hedgehog Banner Exchange!".
